Update 03/06/2021

Hey everyone. Sorry for the lack of new stuff, I've had family over for a visit and I've been spending some time with them. I'll also be on vacation next week so don't expect anything too big for the next few weeks. I do want to at least give an update on what I'm working on and what I'm planning on doing over the next few weeks.

First, the Yakuza Files. I will be returning to the Yakuza series very shortly, I'm almost done with Yakuza 3 and will start writing the review after I'm finished. after that I'll go straight into Yakuza 4. However, I've heard Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5, are incredibly long, so it will probably be a while for those reviews to come out. I'll probably do some smaller reviews in between just to keep a steady flow of content.

I also want to address Movie Mondays. Movie Mondays started as a weekly series to make sure I had at least one post every week. That hasn't been the case for the past few weeks. It's become clear that I can't update the site with a movie review every week on top of the game reviews, and the other various articles I want to write. I am only one man after all.

That doesn't mean I'm going to stop Movie Mondays. I love writing movie reviews and they're a nice easy way to add content since they don't take as long to write as write as the game reviews. So Movie Monday's is now my back up. If I don't have something for the coming week, I'll do a Movie Mondays.

Also the little Pixar retrospective I was doing is on hiatus. I've kind of lost interest in it to be honest. I've already looked at most of the Pixar films I want to talk about anyway, so I'm going to leave Pixar alone for now. I will look at Pixar again at some point, but not right now.

As for other projects I want to work on. I've been thinking of doing some more personal retrospectives on certain game series. A while ago, I wrote a piece on the Soulcalibur series in preparation for the upcoming sixth entry. It was a blast to write, but I do feel like I could do it a lot better.

If you're wondering where this Soulcalibur piece is, it isn't on this website, it's on my old blog. I was thinking of rewriting it for the new website. Then i might do it on other gaming franchises I love. I don't know when that will happen, but it is something I'm planning to do at some point.

But all of that is going to have to wait. Because E3 is right around the corner and I will be covering that. I won't be covering every conference for that, but I will try to cover some of the bigger ones. It's always fun to cover these things, and it should be a lot easier since it is an entirely digital event this year. So hopefully there's less cringe moments this year. Wait is that good or bad?

But that's all the updates I wanted to share. I will be gone for the next few days, but I'll be back in time for the E3 coverage. I'll see you all soon.
